From an early age, my passion for property and building was evident and eventually led to university and a BSc (Hons) in construction management. For the next 26 years I worked in the building industry as a quantity surveyor, gaining experience and knowledge, mainly in residential development. I was working for various developers from small private companies up to mainstream names, including one which at the time was the first in the FTSE 100 in the UK.
Then the downturn hit the industry in 2009 and during the general recession I found myself being made redundant along with many others in the industry. This was the wake up call I was looking for and I took the opportunity to live my passion, to invest in and refurb my first couple of houses, which I still own & rent out now. That’s where Greene Property started, although returning to full-time work as a Quantity Surveyor, I also carried on building my passion for sourcing, investing in and refurbishing houses for either renting out or “flipping” Then earlier this year, an opportunity presented itself to leave the full-time job and focus fully on my passion.

My commercial experience in the building industry has provided vast exposure & experience in budgeting and managing cost discipline of materials & subcontractors during every stage over several concurrent projects, which is now invaluable in identifying appropriate opportunities through to fully managing and delivering the finished project. I love meeting new people and creating valuable partnerships, qualities vitally crucial to the success of any project.
When I’m not working in and on the business, my passion is road biking, which I enjoy most weekends out with friends, putting the miles in across Cheshire and North Wales. Then there is the cars, I love driving, attending car meets and going on road trips but can’t help myself always wanting to change my car which isn’t a great investment strategy. Supporting Man Utd is something else I love or endure others would say, I’m a season ticket holder and you’ll find me in the stands cheering them on whenever I can.
